Good evening Eagles,

As you know, Rogers ISD was closed today due to weather conditions. After continued monitoring and careful consideration, Rogers ISD will also be closed tomorrow, Wednesday January 28th. 

I want to take a moment to thank Mr. Beard and our maintenance team, who were on site throughout the day preparing facilities in the event we were able to return. Because of their proactive planning and hard work, all facilities safely weathered the weather event, and there are no damages at this time.

Regarding athletics, specifically basketball, Rogers ISD is in communication with Thrall ISD to determine next steps. Coaches will share updates through SportsYou. 

While I dislike missing instructional time, the safety of our students and staff must always come first. I did not want our families, staff, or students traveling on the roads under these conditions. District staff will continue to monitor weather conditions and assess road conditions and facilities. At this time, we anticipate a normal return to school on Thursday, January 29th, pending any changes.
