Hello Rogers High School Staff, Students and Parents,
I find it an honor and a privilege to serve you as the principal of Rogers High School.
As an educator for the past 18 years, I have devoted my life to serving students, staff, parents, and community members to ensure that all students have a safe, positive, and successful learning experience. It is my firm belief that to help our students reach their maximum potential, we must have a strong partnership between our staff, parents, and community members with high student achievement as our common goal.
We are currently coming out of a time where our educational system was in a tremendous state of flux. The days of the brick-and-mortar educator have transitioned into the virtual classroom and back again. With new tools in our toolboxes, educators have been able to streamline virtual meetings, online assignments, and hopefully better ways to keep our students engaged both in the classroom and on their tech devices. I spoke last year about how I was not hoping Rogers High School would survive, but how we would THRIVE!!!! Our test scores are through the roof, our academic teams represented us at state, our band is sweepstakes, every sport made the playoffs, and our kids are achieving at a high level. Let’s keep that momentum going into this year and make it the best year ever.
This year will be my ninth year to serve at Rogers High School. Before that, I served as the middle school principal here in Rogers. I started my career in Bartlett, where I taught English Language Arts and was a coach. I coached for five years, two of which I served as the athletic director in Bartlett. My wife, Beth, and I have two beautiful children, Jo Lee(13) and Luke Edward(10).
If I can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me.
I look forward to meeting each of you as we continue the rich traditions of Rogers ISD and work together to make Rogers High School the best school in Texas!
Go Eagles and WAR!!!
