I am a graduated of Rogers High School, class of 1994. I attended Texas A&M University where I earned a Wildlife Ecology Degree and also an Education Certification.
I am beginning my 24th year in Education. I spent 15 years at TISD teaching and coaching. I came to RISD in 2015, and I have been teaching Biology and Chemistry for the last 8 years at Rogers.
Ariela Marie Gutierrez will be a sophomore for the 2023-2024 school year. She is my only child, but I do have 7 four-legged children. I also have class pets and they include: a snake, bearded dragon, sulcatta tortoise, 3 frogs, and 2 leopard geckos.
I am my daughter’s biggest fan, so I am very busy with her pursuits. I do enjoy spending time outside with my dogs, and I also enjoy gardening.
